DRIVEable Cognitive Assessment Tool (DCAT)
The DriveABLE Cognitive Assessment is an assessment of the thinking abilities, as they relate to driving, for drivers with medical conditions.
It was developed through award winning university research. The assessment looks at whether the driver is still safe to drive. The DriveABLE cognitive assessment is computer presented and scored, and the testing procedures are client friendly. A DriveABLE trained healthcare professional guides the driver through the assessment. Although the tests are computer presented, computer knowledge, or even familiarity with a computer, is not a determiner of performance. Computer presentation of the tasks enables precision measurements, objectivity, and removes testing bias. Our mission is to protect safe drivers from misidentification, based solely on their medical condition, and accurately identify unsafe drivers to protect the driver, their familities, and other road users.
